1416. Most Dangerous Game (English, 2020) Mini-Series

 IMDB: 7     RT: 57%

Fight, Flight, or Freeze- If you are going with the third option, you're dead. Dodge is on a run for his life. This run will be the solution to all of his problems. His business is not doing well, his wife is pregnant, he is broke, and he is suffering from a terminal illness with fewer days in hand to live. At this time, he got an offer. It was an offer for help. Every hour that he could run will make him rich and solve his problems once and forever. But, why should he run? Because, he has to play a game in which he is the prey, and hunters are after him for his blood.

How many times have we watched movies in which some psycho-rich individuals watch or kill desperate people for fun? The Hostel movie series was a benchmark movie in this genre as far as I know. The sequel of Escape Room, Tournament of the Champions was the last movie that I saw in the genre. The micro-series The Dangerous Game also has a similar storyline.

Even though the story looks similar to other movies, I enjoyed the series. I can't find anything special with the storyline in it. But the 7 minutes duration of the series will have us hanging on a cliff at the end of every episode.  Yes, you read it right. Approximately 7 minutes episode is the game-changer in this series

Maybe, the 7-minute duration is playing mind games with the viewer. But this is a nice way to make the viewer more intrigued and glued to the screen for the whole series that is binge-worthy.

Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz starrer, The Dangerous Game is a mini-series tailored-made for the micro-series OTT app Quibi. The series is now streaming free on Roku Channel as a Roku Original. This micro-series is having 16 episodes, and with such a small duration, it won't hurt someone to watch a fast-paced action-thriller.

So, watch out for the prey and hunters and what will happen to 'em.
